New firmware for the SJ1000 action cam.

Great news for those  who have old firmware on your sj1000 action camera. I just got new firmware for my action cam. 

If the fact that the screen didn't automatically blank out wasn't an issue to you, I'd suggest skipping this update.The SJ1000 Firmware Y130615 fixes the screensaver bug.  As for 60fps on 720p will just have to see if this fixes it too. I will try it out and let you all know soon. Beware, if you somehow kill it, you are on your own.

SJ1000 action cam, New version underwater casing.

So I just ordered the new version of the sj1000 underwater case.

So why did I order the new version of the underwater case you might ask?

Well It's because the new case has been redesign, you now have only 3 buttons instead of 5 and the crop on the video dew to the front window being too small has gone with the new model. ( So the say.)
The 3 button on the casing are for Power on / off (you didn't have this with the old model) so the camera was always on and so the battery was used very quickly  , the ok button and the select button.
I will make a youtube video on it as soon as I get it.

Get seriously into Photography.

My passion for photography has groan and I'm thinking of taking it one step further. After working with strobes (flash guns) I got me one of these to work in my studio. I must say that this studio flash is a nice addition to my collection.

The sj1000 the great china action cam.

This is really super camera. It shoots really good videos & reasonably good photos.
I have heard alot of people complain  about how bad the build quality the camera is and this is same what true, you do get what you pay for.But I don't find it bad not at all, the only thing that did not work with me when I got it was the charger.
But that was no problem, I have a few mobile charges laying around. As long as the charger is 1mAmp then you can use it, even the connector is the same as my samsung galaxy s phone.
The camera also has a problem in shooting in 720p at 60fps, it actually 2 times the same frame. For me it's not a problem as I never shoot in 720p.
I have been using this camera for a while now and never had a problem. It's even been in the water playing with my young son, water never got in the water tight housing.
It's small, light and the battery with me lasts about 90 min shooting video at 1080p/30fps. So you get what you pay for,  at 60 euros it's more camera then a 200 or even a 300 euro camera.
Anyway that was just my 2 cents.
